Every Direction Has Power "Understanding Positive and Negative Energy in Vaastu Shastra"

Every space has its own significance; hence, it continuously emits either positive or negative energy.

Let us understand what positive and negative energy are.

Every direction has two potentials—one positive and one negative. One attracts, and the other repels. God created all directions with equal potential, i.e., positive and negative charges; otherwise, energy would not flow at all. Hence, from my experience, no direction is completely good or bad.

Example:

The East side has a positive node at the North-East corner (Ishanya). Therefore, open space, an entrance, light, and cleanliness enhance positive energy. The other end, East-South-East, is a negative node.

What are the effects?

Spaces such as houses, offices, or industries with entrances from the East-North-East experience prosperity, health, and happiness.

But how does this entrance create prosperity?

To lead a healthy life, we need sufficient light and air (oxygen) for our body organs to function smoothly. If the North-East is blocked and there is no entrance, it means air and light are blocked. Even if there are openings on other sides, morning ultraviolet rays play a vital role in keeping the space energetic.

Hence, while planning a building, we must explore the best entrances at positive nodes. Irrespective of the facing of the plot or land, we must make provisions for light and air at the North-East corner—either by creating space for an underground water tank, a wash area, a small garden, or an open-to-sky area.

For a south-facing plot, the entrance can be at South-East-South, which is called the Lakshmi Door. The reason is the positive node at the South-East corner.

A west-facing plot can have an entrance from West-North-West, which is positive. With a West-North-West entrance, the kitchen can be easily planned in the South-East. This ensures overall prosperity. For industries, heavy equipment such as steam boilers, digesters, generator sets, transformers, and low-tension lines can be planned accordingly.

North-facing plots can have entrances at North-East-North, which bring overall prosperity.

Summary

Every space has equal potential sides. There are four negative and four positive nodes. A wise person must explore entrances at positive nodes.

Case Study

Recently, I visited a milk dairy plant. The owner, professionally a CA, invested in the plant with aspirations of becoming a businessman. Initially, the plant was running on a no-profit, no-loss basis. A non-professional Vastu consultant suggested changing the entrance to enhance the business.

After this change, factory production declined, cash inflow reduced, and disputes arose. The young entrepreneur was confused, debts increased, and financial pressure made him consider quitting the business.

What went wrong?

The plot was south-facing, and the entrance was changed from South-South-East (+ve) to South-South-West (-ve). This alone was enough to slow down the business.

When I visited, I asked him to restore the entrance to its original position. I also gave the following suggestions:

1. Close the pit on the west side.

2. Close the borewell on the south-east side.

3. Remove heavy machinery and accessories from the north-east side.

4. Shift the dispatch area to the south-east side.

5. Arrange seating on positive sides.

6. Disconnect the compound wall from the main building.

After three months, the entire scenario changed. Business improved significantly, product supply became uninterrupted, and cash flow stabilized. His NPA account gained credibility, and bankers regained faith in him.

Last month, I visited again for a new expansion with a new partnership on an adjacent plot for a milk powder plant. He is now confident, though cautious, as the raw material for the new plant is the finished product of the existing one.

Conclusion

The entrance of a building is very important. Therefore, residential, commercial, and industrial buildings must be planned according to Vastu principles for overall prosperity.
